A bit more about Mia

Mia has loved plants, animals and being outdoors since she was little. Her happiest childhood memories are of playing in woodlands and gardens, and she started trekking, ski-touring and camping aged 11. Her desire to make a positive contribution to environmental and ecological issues both personally and professionally stems from this early love of nature.

Since moving to North Wales, Mia has immersed herself in learning about mountain flora, local heritage and Celtic mythology, which she loves to share during our events. In her free time, she grows vegetables, and volunteers for the Snowdonia Society and with Energy Local Bethesda, a cooperative that buys locally produced hydro power for local people. She’s dedicated to learning Welsh, and is always eager to practice.
